I record my most important visual experiences, not in journals or diaries, but on canvas. My paintings are mixtures of my observations, experiences, passions and moods. As an expressive realistic painter, I use artistic license to create focus and balance that reflect my personality.

The cycles of the seasons with their ever changing fluctuations and excitement is the theme for my current body of work. I’ve also tried to capture the vitality of my perennial garden that has developed into a pollinator paradise, providing me with so much joy, entertainment, and subject matter.

In sharing the parts of the landscape that I value, I’m affirming my connection to their positive elements, extending my momentary delight into something concrete and lasting.
